Our Services

We offer a broad spectrum of tax and business financial consulting, including asset coordination, accounting and auditing. Our clientele ranges from private individuals and sole proprietors to partnerships and corporate entities across all sectors.

Income Tax Preparation

Our tax services include the preparation of individual, partnership, corporate, trust, nonprofit, and estate tax returns, as well as help setting up IRA, Roth IRA, and simplified employee pension plans (SEPs).

Bookkeeping Services

An important service we provide is our bookkeeping services. Small organizations often cannot afford the cost of an on-staff accountant or bookkeeper; or there simply is not enough accounting work to justify the position, although you need to have timely and accurate financial information to manage your organization.

QuickBooks Consultation

We work with you to get maximum value from QuickBooks by making sure you have the QuickBooks version that meets your needs, helping you decide what features to use. We will show you how to set up or re-set your chart of accounts so that data entry is less time-consuming and less likely to create problems later on. We will show you how to use special time-saving features built into QuickBooks, including how to order checks or deposit tickets so that you can run them on your laser printer. How to structure QuickBooks so that the information you need for everything from taxes to financial statements is at your fingertips. We are there when you need us. We are available if you need help to get up and running; or to guide you through any rough spots you encounter.

Audited Financial Statements

We provide audit services to small and medium-sized private businesses, non-profit organizations, school districts, municipalities and employee benefit plans. To strengthen management procedures and improve operating results, we supplement our audit reports with suggestions for attaining these goals.

Compiled Financial Statements

We provide compiled financial statements that are prepared based on information provided by the entity's management. A compilation may be appropriate for entities that require assistance with preparing financial statements for internal use.

Reviewed Financial Statements

We provide reviewed financial statements, which require some inquiry and analytical procedures to be applied to the financial statements. A review provides limited assurance that no material changes need to be made to the financial statements. For financial statements that will be used by a third party, such as a creditor or regulatory agency, a review may provide the best solution.

Payroll and Payroll Tax Services

We offer a complete line of payroll and payroll tax services. Now, you can get payroll processing and answers to your payroll questions. We have the answers. We're willing to take the time, and get to know you and give you personal attention because, with our low staff turnover, you can talk to the same person each time you call. You also get training, if needed, on how to make journal entries from our payroll reports to your accounting system, and the freedom to choose how you send us your data (email, phone, fax, or regular mail).

Selection and Formation of Business Entities

One of the first major considerations a new businessperson must look at is the type of business organization to use for his/her enterprise. The choices are sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, or limited liability companies. While each form has its advantages and disadvantages, the new business person must review the different types of organization and select the one which best suits the company’s needs at the outset. Once the company has been established and is thriving, the owner can always review the options and adapt the business organization to the current needs.

Management Consulting and Advisory Services

We assist in the start-up of new firms, as well as assisting established firms, including the establishment of accounting policies, procedures and the infrastructure necessary to meet the requirements of current and future growth of the organization. This involves the preparation of business plans, including detailed income and cash flow projections, providing accounting and due diligence services for firms engaged in mergers and acquisitions, preparing policies and procedures in order to document internal control, and providing client write up (bookkeeping) services to assist with day-to-day financial record keeping.

Estate, Financial, and Succession Planning

With our experience in estate and financial planning, we can help you meet all of your objectives, including managing taxes so your estate can grow, passing on property to heirs in accordance with your desires and at optimum tax cost, avoiding or minimizing family disputes, and providing for adequate liquidity.

Sager, Swisher and Company, LLP assists the owners of businesses with planning pertaining to the various aspects of business succession, including wealth development, estate planning, business structuring, key man retention, employee benefits and family communications. Our firm serves as financial planners, as well as facilitators to design, implement, coordinate and lead a team effort for the achievement of your succession goals.

Tax Planning

This is as close as you come to finding out in advance what next year’s tax bill will be!

Tax planning begins with a look at last year’s tax return. Together, we will sketch out what your projected income and expenses are in the future and estimate what your taxes might be. With this information, we give you specific recommendations to maximize your tax savings.

Internal Control Review

Adequate controls are absolutely necessary to protect your organization’s assets. We realize that it is important for you to keep your business information confidential and ensure that you have the right controls in place, which are operating effectively, to manage your risks.

We offer a comprehensive internal control consulting service, which includes the review of your computerized systems. We will identify processing points where controls affecting the flow of information through your accounting system should exist. We will highlight controls that are missing, and provide reports that summarize the system's strengths and weaknesses. In addition, this report will be accompanied by practical recommendations so that you can quickly and easily implement the necessary modifications.

Internal Revenue Service Representation

Dealing with the IRS can truly be a nightmare. Unfortunately, many people try to handle their tax problems on their own, only to experience extreme frustration – and sometimes their problems get even worse.

We work in the IRS representation and tax problem resolution arena for individuals and small businesses. We listen to your IRS difficulties and help you solve them for good. We know the system and can find the right solution for you.
